Borrowed from popular culture (especially science fiction) and widely understood across Latin America as an invitation to abandon principles or join a shady group. Not literal.

Quieto literally means 'still' or 'quiet', but as a command in tense or confrontational situations it functions as 'Freeze!' or 'Stop right there!' rather than simply 'be quiet'. The authority-command register is not guessable from the adjective alone.

Literally 'to his/her liking', but in context it means without restriction or obstacle, not that someone is doing something pleasurably. The idiomatic force (unrestricted access or freedom of action) is stronger than the literal reading.

Tender una trampa (to lay a trap) is an idiomatic fixed phrase. A learner might try to parse tender as 'to hang' or 'to spread' and lose the meaning entirely. Common across Latin America in both literal and figurative contexts.
