Very common in Argentine River Plate speech. Refers to an embarrassing situation, usually public. Not deducible from 'papel' (paper/role) alone.
Fixed adverbial phrase. 'Escondidas' alone means 'hide-and-seek' or 'hidden things', so the full phrase carries a specific nuance of doing something covertly to avoid detection by someone with authority.
Reflexive fixed expression. Implies deliberate feigned ignorance, often to avoid accountability. The 'hacerse' construction signals performing a false state.
Used with negation ('no estoy de ánimo') to signal that someone is not emotionally available or up for something. More personal and emotional than simply 'tener ganas'.
