Three Hours

Literally 'to turn (someone) red/crimson'. Widely used in everyday speech to describe embarrassment caused by someone else.

Superficially polite construction but frequently used to express irritation or authority rather than genuine courtesy. The tone depends entirely on context and delivery.

Fixed expression. Signals that a situation, action, or request has moved into much more serious or risky territory than what came before. Often used to pump the brakes on a plan.

Said admiringly or with surprise when someone reveals an unexpected skill or quality. Applied to people, not situations.

Informal and slightly pejorative. Implies unwanted curiosity into other people's affairs. Closely related to 'fisgonear', which is even more colloquial.

From 'chisme' (gossip). The verb implies idle, repetitive gossiping rather than a single piece of news. Carries a mildly critical tone toward those who do it.
