Season 2 · Episode 4
Envious
A surprise encounter with Debbie turns Vicky and Daniel's romantic getaway upside down. Matías takes a step forward in his relationship with Mei.

One of the most emblematic Argentine words. Between close friends it is warm and affectionate; said to a stranger or in anger it is a genuine insult. Context and tone decide everything.
Very common in everyday Argentine speech. Can describe a disorganized place, a chaotic situation, or a complicated person. Used without much taboo weight in informal contexts.
A very common Argentine expression of resignation or spontaneous decision-making. 'Ya fue' can mean 'it already happened so let's move on' or 'we just decided to go for it without overthinking.'
Flexible intensifier. Can express admiration ('that was insane/amazing') or disapproval ('that was outrageous'). Very common among younger speakers.
Informal intensifier meaning to do something excessively or without limits. 'Pavote' is a jocular augmentative of 'pavo' (turkey/fool), used purely for emphasis here.
Figurative use of 'chupar' (to suck). When someone is 'chupado por' something, they have been absorbed into it completely, often with a negative connotation of losing autonomy.
Widespread and very natural in informal Argentine speech. 'Pedo' literally means fart but in this expression it simply means drunk. Not considered particularly vulgar in casual contexts.
Used reflexively to describe doing something daring, spontaneous, or perhaps reckless. 'Se mandaron' means they went ahead and did it without much hesitation.
Vivid colloquial expression for a place that is extremely far or inconveniently remote. Used casually among friends without strong taboo weight, though it is vulgar in register.
Formed with the Argentine intensifier prefix 're-' attached to 'cerca'. Means closer than just 'cerca'. Very natural in informal speech.
Strong expletive that in this context is used with affection and excitement rather than genuine hostility, tone is entirely warm. Common in emotionally charged moments between people who are close.
