Season 2 · Episode 8
Elite
Painful truths and dark secrets are exposed as the students unburden themselves and the circumstances behind Samuel's disappearance are revealed.

One of the most frequent expletives in colloquial speech. Tone shifts completely with context: it can express anger, disbelief, affection, or simple emphasis. Between friends it often carries no real offence. Softened form 'joer' is used in polite company or on TV.
Ubiquitous in peer speech. Completely unrelated to the literal meaning of uncle or aunt in this use. Can be affectionate, neutral, or slightly exasperated depending on delivery.
Literally 'to remove oneself from the middle', but used transitively to mean eliminating a person as an obstacle. In criminal or tense contexts it implies harm rather than simply asking someone to step aside.
'Lío' means mess, trouble, or complicated situation. 'Meterse en líos' is a very common way to say someone has got themselves into a difficult or dangerous situation.
Common in informal speech to intensify quantity or degree. Equivalent to 'muchísimo'. Can be used as a noun ('un mogollón de gente') or adverb ('me gusta mogollón').
Used as an insult implying someone is thoughtless or stupid. Delivered in an argument to belittle the other person's judgment.
'Panda' here means a group of people (informal, slightly derogatory framing of the group). Combined with 'imbéciles' it is a dismissive group insult.
Expresses that someone is under heavy scrutiny or pressure from another person or institution. Not physically on top; figuratively hovering over with close attention.
Ironic fixed phrase. Said of someone whose expectations are wildly optimistic or mistaken. The tone is dismissive: 'if you think that's going to happen, you're very wrong.'
Fixed phrase describing inaction in the face of a situation that demands a response. Often used in a reproachful or frustrated tone.
Describes a situation, party, or person that has exceeded normal limits and become uncontrollable. Often used to describe a social event that becomes chaotic or wild.
