Season 2 · Episode 1
Paquita Salas
One of Spain's best talent agents in the '90s, Paquita now finds herself searching desperately for new stars after suddenly losing her biggest client.

Constructed with 'cagarse en' (literally 'to defecate on'), a very productive vulgar pattern used to vent frustration. The referent can be swapped for almost anything. High emotional charge; caused a scandal in the show's plot because it was said publicly by a celebrity.
Literally 'daughter of a whore'. One of the most common strong insults. Can be intensified with 'gran' (gran hija de puta). In certain tones among very close friends it can lose its sting entirely, but in conflict it is harshly offensive.
Very common vulgar intensifier for total exhaustion or frustration. 'Estar hasta las narices' or 'estar harto' are milder equivalents. The anatomical noun is used as a pure intensifier here, not literally.
From 'pirarse', a colloquial verb meaning to leave, to clear off. Very common in informal speech among young and middle-aged speakers.
Can be positive (amazed by something great) or negative (shocked, can't believe it). Context and tone determine polarity. Very widespread in everyday informal speech.
Beyond its literal meaning, 'me cagué' said about a film or performance means it shocked or overwhelmed you in a powerful (usually positive or intensely negative) way. Distinct from 'me cago en X', which expresses anger. Context is key.
From 'rayarse', meaning to obsess or get in a spin over something. Widely used to tell someone to stop worrying unnecessarily.
A fixed expression. 'Ridículo' alone means 'ridiculous', but 'hacer el ridículo' specifically means to behave in a way that is embarrassing in front of others.
A calque from English 'coach/coaching' used in the wellness and business world. The speaker treats it like a state of being, similar to 'estar en terapia'. Signals fashionable self-improvement culture.
A fixed idiom. Literally 'for a tear, for an unstitched seam'. Used to say someone (or a service) is useful in any situation, that they will take on anything.
